The Newbury Hotel, Boston, USA
The brand new Newbury Hotel took over the 1927 building from the Ritz Carlton in May 2021. It sits opposite the Boston Public Gardens and at the entrance of what my Bellman called the “Rodeo Drive of Boston”, Newbury Street.
I have been walking the park for the past year and a bit (during Covid times) and I have always wondered what was behind the doors…. and now I know. Me! 🙂

A night away and it was a dream. I paid for the “Debut” package which got me an upgrade to the Park View Room. And wowzah, what a room. The room itself is clean, comfy and has everything you need including a steamer for your clothes. But for me, it was the view that was fabulous.
Dining in the hotel is a little tricky as the Contessa restaurant doesn’t really belong to the hotel and reservations are super hard to get. Note to self – reservations are about 3weeks out. The hotel does have another restaurant on the lobby level called, The Street Bar. Great spot if you are hankering for a burger or sandwich with a cocktail or beer.
The hotel is a little pricey but you won’t be disappointed.
